Some times the Cedar was too rotten for saw logs , We would cut Shake and Shingle blocks , In all we could make a good living and supply some jobs to locals , It was hard dirty sweaty work, but at the end of the day you felt like an Athlete, sore and tired but pumped!!!!

At Times we used to use Helicopters to remove the logs , the markets were good for cedar and the snags were super light, When we left the forest would look cleaner, The Chopper in this Picture was a Hughes 500, My friend and Pilot Duane Tanski, died 2 days after this picture was taken , He left a Hole in my Heart, I was his biggest fan , we spent a lot of time flying around looking for Cedar patches, He took my Step Kids for the ride of thier lives , He was an Ace , He got Lost in the Fog and found God!! I will miss him , The final days of the company , this was the last load before the end !!

Lady Logger unemployed

In the North I had a Company that could utilize the Naturally fallen timber and Salvaged the usable Logs for local saw Mills , Now is nearly any Logging going on , Just the Rich guys that can undercut the little companies , It was a cutthroat time of my business Life. This was the Last pile the company sold before going Bankrupt,,, I didnt change anything ,the Government did and put over 150 men and women, working for 10 local salvage companies , as the recession hit we died off one after the other, My company died but I survived !!!!Broke and depressed, I used to be a Logger , but now I am just a begger!!Logging was all my family knew, but now the streets are all my family knows!!!!We tried to fight and to beat the hard times but the creditors came in and took our tools away , So here I sit with a mind full of knowledge but noone will know because noone will hire me???
